Cambridge offers a lot of exams to test the level of each student and where they stand on an international ground. Amongst all the exams Linguaskills and Bulats are the only exams that assesses a person’s capability at all levels. Linguaskills is a multilevel test that is designed to help organizations assess large group of candidates in the General English. This exam is flexible according to the needs of the employer. It provides detailed results on the ability of the candidates which help both the employer and the test taker.
Linguaskills produces accurate and reliable results as it was given as a trail to more than 240 learners of English in 2016. This helped the researchers to come to the conclusion that the test’s artificial intelligence technology is fidelity and fair.
Why Linguaskills?
 Linguaskills is flexible to the needs of the organizations as the employers can decide how they can conduct the exams.  This exam tests all the four skills with listening and reading as a combined exam. All the three exams can be taken on the same day or on different days or only one exam can be taken. The Listening and the reading section are adaptive. The computer identifies the candidate’s level when they have answered enough questions. The CEFR level is measured from below A1 to above C1. The results are given immediately after they complete reading and listening section.  Writing and speaking section’s result will be given in 24 hours.
Test Format
Linguaskills tests a person’s ability in all the four skills, which are
a.      Reading and listening combined
b.      Writing
c.       Speaking
Reading and listening module consists of five sections and two sections respectively with no exact count on the number of questions. The timing for this exam varies from 60 to 85 minutes depending on the candidate’s ability. The writing section consists of two parts where the candidate has to respond to an Email and give an outline. This part lasts for 45 minutes (15+30) and the candidate should type faster. The speaking section is for about 15 minutes where the candidate is given on the spot topics.
Who offers Linguaskills?
Both Linguaskills and Bulats are exams for a group of students or individual candidates under the supervision of an invigilator for Cambridge exams. As Cambridge has a lot of requirements, not every organization is given the permission to conduct the exams. Only agents in specific places are permitted to conduct these exams. Cambridge Assessment India Pvt. Ltd. (Chennai) is the only agent in Tamilnadu for Cambridge.
 Test Report form
The test report form consists of the following information:
1.      CEFR level of the skills tested
2.      The overall average CEFR score
3.      An explanation of what each score means in terms of English language ability.
