What is C1 Advanced?


Nowadays there is a huge increase in the amount of people migrating abroad for various reasons such as job, profession and higher studies. As we all know each country has its own basic entry requirements. Showing one’s English proficiency level plays a vital role in this process. The major players of this exam are ETS - English Testing Services (TOEFL IBT and TOEIC) and Cambridge (IELTS and C1 advanced). The other assessments people can take for this purpose are PTE, GRE, GMAT, SAT.
The results of these exams are widely accepted as they follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) who divided the scores into six major categories. These entire high stake exams assess a person’s language level on the whole while there are other exams that test a person’s level in a particular area, for example: BEC tests the people whose level is B2.

Briefing C1 Advanced
The latest exam that has started to become popular is C1 Advanced. This exam tests all the four skills a person needs to possess namely Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. This exam judges an individual’s level from B2 to C2. This exam lasts around 4 in which Reading and
Usage of English for 1h 30mins Speaking consists for 15 minutes, Listening for 40 minutes and Writing for 1h and 30 minutes.
